INTRODUCTION

The social needs facing South Africa are significant and call for strategic initiatives that bring about meaningful transformation that will benefit all. The CSI initiatives dovetail perfectly with the Lebashe Group’s mission to provide long-term sustainable development and empowerment of those that were previously disadvantaged. On our CSI journey, we hope to unveil hidden talents, unlock potential and address the challenges that many South Africans face.

OBJECTIVES

By weaving a positive fabric of upliftment and empowerment and building lasting relationships, we believe we can make a valuable contribution to society

The objective of the the Lebashe CSI Initiative is to empower youth by developing their minds and equipping them with the necessary tools required to become self-sustainable and in so doing, contributing positively to the overall economy.

Lebashe has partnered with The Tshepo & Dolly Mahloele Foundation – an organization that embodies the above. There is a shared vision to improve education and enterprise development and create sustainable opportunity

FLAGSHIP PROJECTS

REKOPANTSWE PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 2017, we kicked off our CSI journey by forging a partnership with Rekopantswe Primary School with the goal of collaborating and working toward alleviating hardship and difficulties for both the children and teachers.

The commencement of our programme saw the distribution of school uniforms and stationery for the children, with motivational books, stationery and eats supplied to the teachers.

March 2018, the Lebashe team visited Rekopantswe Primary School to engage with the school kids and teachers and create a wider sphere of influence. 104 students received school uniforms.

The simple fact that some families are facing deep financial hardship and as a result are not able to support their children with school fees, uniforms, shoes and stationary is a reason for a child not to be at school. We alleviate this issue by continuously providing

THE MOSHAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Lebashe is proud to be part of the mentorship program afforded students in the Moshal Scholarship Program.

Itumeleng Lesenyeho is a dynamic young man, and his aspirations is to have a meticulous understanding of management accounting and finance.Itumeleng completed his BCom Accounting degree at Wits University and is a PGDA graduate at the University of Cape Town.

Besides his studies he is an avid swimmer and has high aspirations of being a successful role model to inspire others from his community.

The Moshal Program is a third-party scholarship program that was started in 2018 to provide educational assistance to previously disadvantaged university students.

Focused on education and enterprise development, we will create a template for transforming the lives of those that were previously disadvantaged and ensuring they mature to be the best versions of themselves
