The social needs facing South Africa are significant and call for strategic initiatives that bring about meaningful transformation that will benefit all. The CSI initiatives dovetail perfectly with the Lebashe Group’s mission to provide long-term sustainable development and empowerment of those that were previously disadvantaged. On our CSI journey, we hope to unveil hidden talents, unlock potential and address the challenges that many South Africans face.

By weaving a positive fabric of upliftment and empowerment and building lasting relationships, we believe we can make a valuable contribution to society

The objective of the the Lebashe CSI Initiative is to empower youth by developing their minds and equipping them with the necessary tools required to become self-sustainable and in so doing, contributing positively to the overall economy.

Lebashe has partnered with The Tshepo & Dolly Mahloele Foundation – an organization that embodies the above. There is a shared vision to improve education and enterprise development and create sustainable opportunity

In 2017, we kicked off our CSI journey by forging a partnership with Rekopantswe Primary School with the goal of collaborating and working toward alleviating hardship and difficulties for both the children and teachers.

The commencement of our programme saw the distribution of school uniforms and stationery for the children, with motivational books, stationery and eats supplied to the teachers.

March 2018, the Lebashe team visited Rekopantswe Primary School to engage with the school kids and teachers and create a wider sphere of influence. 104 students received school uniforms.

The simple fact that some families are facing deep financial hardship and as a result are not able to support their children with school fees, uniforms, shoes and stationary is a reason for a child not to be at school. We alleviate this issue by continuously providing

Started in 2018. This program involves sponsors providing funding for marginalized South Africans to enable their journey through university education. 480 committed and determined university students are currently supported by the program at 8 different universities. A university education equips learners with the skills and knowledge required to obtain jobs, pursue their dreams and contribute to building a better economy in South Africa.

Lebashe currently mentors Itumeleng, a student who has hopes and aspirations of inspiring others through what he already has, and will achieve in the future. Already completed a BCom, en-route to becoming a Chartered Accountant and a talented swimmer, he promises that the Lebashe exposure will enable him to reach his full potential and propel him to succeed in all spheres of his life

With a dedication to making a change firmly entrenched in our Company philosophy, we are committed to driving our CSI programme and delivering on all that we profess to do. Focused on education and enterprise development, we will create a template for transforming the lives of those that were previously disadvantaged and ensuring they mature to be the best versions of themselves
